Things to do in Pemberton Summer 2023

Summer has arrived and with it a range of possibilities have opened to enjoy the adventures that await in Pemberton. Here is a highlight reel of our favourite things to do in and around Pemberton in the summer time.

Birkenhead Lake Provincial Park

This is our go to day at the beach for the family. With breathtaking views, crystal clear water and a large sandy beach, this location is a great spot for a hot summers day. Its super kid friendly with a gradiated shoreline so pack your picnic and sand buckets and make a day of it. It’s about a 40 minute drive from the cabin. There are no shops nearby so pack your snacks and go!

Beer Farmers

This 4th generation farm is a must see during your stay in Pemberton. With the addition of their on farm brewery its a spectacular place to see the farmland of Pemberton while sipping a refreshing cold beer. The Miller family grow potatoes and barley on the farm. Laughing crow organics also grows a range of mixed produce on the farm that you can purchase from their farm stand. Go in the afternoon for a late lunch at the amazing food truck they have on site too.

Golfing

There are 2 amazing golf courses in Pemberton. The laid back picturesque Sunstone is a great course for any level of player. Big Sky is a top rated public course for the enthusiast player. Both have majestic views of Mount Currie and are well worth a day on the links. Both clubhouses also have great food options and patios to sit on after a round or for a casual lunch or dinner.

Horse Back Riding:

The views and terrain around Pemberton are perfectly suited to experience by horseback. There are a multitude of tours supported by a couple of tour operators. Ranging from 2 hours to 3 days you can pick your adventure, pick up your horse and guide and head for the hills. Copper Cayuse Outfitters is located 25 minutes from the B&B and can provide you with a truly memorable day.

Hiking

We would be remiss to not mention Joffre Lakes Provincial park. The super popular postcard hike is not to be missed. With the explosion in its popularity prior to COVID the park now has a reservation system in place. Be sure to reserve your free spot up to 48 hours before your planned hike. We definitely recommend going really early to enjoy the lakes without the crowds. Come down for a well earned brunch. Tenquille lake, Nairn Falls and Cool Creek Canyon are other amazing hikes. We have a host of other recommendations that we’ll share with you on request. You can also explore deeper into the mountains with a heli-assisted hiking day with Blackcomb Helicopters.

Jet boating

Explore the valley in a unique way. Whistler Jet boating offers and amazing tour of the green river. Snaking its way all the way up to the base of Nairn falls, you’ll see parts of the valley only accessible by river.

Whistler Blackcomb

When guests visit we always recommend finding anyway to get above treeline to really appreciate the vastness of this area. The alpine offers a glimpse into the endless sea of mountains we live in. Using the gondolas and summer trails at Whistler Blackcomb is definitely the easiest way to experience this. 45 minutes from the cabin and complete with world class facilities, its worth the visit.
