Pemberton is blessed with a great array of ways to get out and enjoy the surrounding area. Below are some of our recommendations of things to do in and around Pemberton. The list is by no means exhaustive but its a great start. If you have any questions or need more specific suggestions please don’t hesitate to contact us.


Summer

Golfing:

Pemberton is home to 2 idyllic golf courses, both nestled under the imposing face of Mount Currie. Big Sky Golf Club is Pemberton’s and British Columbia’s premiere public golf course. Ranked by Golf Digest for 2015/2016 as one of the top 30 Public Golf Courses in Canada. you have to experience golf at Big Sky for yourself to truly understand how special it is. The Meadows at Pemberton offers a laid back yet impressive 18 hole golf experience with amazing views. Both courses also have great casual dining restaurants in the clubhouse.

Fishing:

Pemberton is blessed with an abundance of freshwater rivers and lakes. Many of them hold world class fishing opportunities. Depending on the season you may consider fly fishing on the river or trawling for lake trout. Either way your best bet for success is to hire a local guide to reveal the secret spots. Mountain Biking:

The locals of Pemberton have a biking problem. They generally cant get enough. For the experienced mountain biker the options are endless and in recent years many new moderate trails have been built. Stop by the Pemberton Bike Co to pick up the Pemberton Valley Trail Association map to get your bearings and plan your day. With typically early snow melts in the valley many trails in the network are rideable starting in march and the season runs well into October.

Horse Back Riding:

The views and terrain around Pemberton are perfectly suited to experience by horseback. There are a multitude of tours supported by a couple of tour operators. Ranging from 2 hours to 3 days you can pick your adventure, pick up your horse and guide and head for the hills. Copper Cayuse Outfitters is located 25 minutes from the B&B and can provide you with a truly memorable day.

Hiking:

Pemberton is surrounded by inspiring peaks in every direction. One of the best and easiest ways to get amongst them is to hike. From the world famous Joffre Lakes hike to the more remote locations you won't find on Instagram your options are endless. For the less experienced hiker looking to stretch their legs there are some wonderful hikes in the valley including the renowned Nairn Falls trail and One Mile lake loop. WINTER

Skiing and Snowboarding at Whistler Blackomb:

Whistler Blackcomb needs little introduction in the world of skiing and snowboarding. It's a world class destination that has everything the skiing world has to offer. With over 8000 acres spanning from high alpine to treeline terrain and an abundant snowfall, its an endless playground.

The B&B is 45 minutes from the parking lots and offers an affordable luxury retreat.

Backcountry Skiing around Pemberton:

Pemberton sits within the famed Coast Mountain range, blessed with endless terrain and bountiful stable snow pack. You could spend many lifetimes skiing in the mountains around Pemberton and barely scratch the surface. Sweetwater Lane Farm is 15 mins from the bottom of Duffey Lake rd which has many great day long ski touring routes. Pick up the John Baldwin's Duffey Lake map for detailed directions. Snowmobiling:

Pemberton is a gateway to endless mountain terrain. In the winter there is no better way to explore than via snowmobile. From the Pemberton Ice Cap to the Hurley and Duffey Lake road you have many options to choose from. If you are from out of town you can hire snowmobiles or a local guide from Broken Boundary Adventures to help optimize your experience.

Ice Fishing:

Pemberton has an abundance of trout filled lakes. Close to town or within an hours drive there are countless opportunities to try out this iconic Canadian past time.
